Everyone deserves to carve out time for love, travel, wander and leisure. At Her Leisure grounds people of color in travel, culture, and curiosity, offering the tools and resources to create powerful memories and connections with their world.
Our mission is to enrich the homes, lives and personal spaces of those who purchase and receive our work. We recognize the beauty of people of color through original design and cultural representation. We operate so that you can represent your culture, anywhere, with knowledge, style, and products that increase self-worth and well-being.
Jennifer Aria Wilder-Boynes is a passionate, heart-centered illustrator supplying art, fashion and decor around the world. Her original designs are saturated in influence from travel, culture, and well-being. An artist from youth, it was her relocation from the MidWest to the East Coast for work in 2014 that paved the way to revisiting her art skills in her leisure time.
Jennifer concentrated on contributing to a global understanding and appreciation of Caribbean culture, traditions, lifestyle, and identities and how that extends to Africa. At Her Leisure celebrates the entire Caribbean region and its Diaspora. At Her Leisure brings Afro- Caribbean culture to diverse audiences both on and offline in addition to keeping the Diaspora connected with their cultural heritage.
Travel was not only the source of inspiration in executing the brand but the cure that leveraged an escape from stress, negativity, toxic work environments and health issues. We encourage people of color to give up the feelings of guilt and make time for you. Whether you’re the matriarch of the family, or constantly being called upon in the corporate world, embrace a linear method to self-care, mental health, and freedom.
Developed in the U.S. and designed from inspiration around the world. For life, travel and leisure through love, travel and wander!
“We need hours of aimless wandering or spates of time sitting on park benches, observing the mysterious world of ants and the canopy of treetops.” -Maya Angelou
